Elites Generation

Careers

Come work with us.

The work is long-horizon. It is mission-led. It is paid at market, because the worst nonprofits burn out their best people on below-market comp and the best ones pay well and make that transparent. If that sounds like the kind of place you have been looking for, keep reading.

How we work

Two entities, one payroll philosophy.

Foundation roles are paid at market. Executive compensation is set by an independent committee and published on the annual Form 990. Public comp is a feature: it is a forcing function for reasonable pay and for the kind of hire we are trying to make.

Subsidiary roles, on the engineering and commercial side, receive market salary plus a long-term incentive plan tied to the subsidiary’s performance. Real upside, capped, predictable. The pattern Mozilla Corporation uses to retain senior engineers. We are not a vow-of-poverty operation.

We do not underpay. The worst nonprofits burn out their best people on below-market salaries; the best ones pay well and make that transparent. We would rather hire slowly than hire under that pressure.

What we are looking for

The disciplines we will hire first.

The founding team will be small and senior on purpose. These are the functions we expect to fill first, in rough order of priority.

  • Engineering

Senior engineers across mobile, backend, AI, and infrastructure. Privacy-first systems people. The stack is React Native, Fastify, Postgres, Python, and a multi-agent AI layer.

  • Research & evaluation

Social scientists and public-health researchers interested in outcome measurement for connection and wellbeing. IRB-governed partnerships with universities sit inside this function.

  • Trust, safety, and moderation

Real-human moderation with clinical oversight. People who have done this work at platforms that actually cared.

  • Community and facilitation

Operators to run the facilitator program: training, stipends, safety frameworks, playbooks for small groups.

  • Operations and finance

Nonprofit finance, grants administration, and the shared services that keep the Foundation and its subsidiary running cleanly.

Current openings

Not hiring yet.

We are not actively recruiting. The first roles open when the Foundation closes its founding capital campaign, targeted for 2026 to 2027. When they open, they will be posted here and linked from the newsroom.

If you would be a strong candidate for one of the functions listed above and you want to stay on our radar, you can write to careers@elitesgen.org. We do read everything that comes in. We will reply slowly.

Stay in touch

The quiet channel.

We publish essays, field notes, and announcements through the newsroom. If you want to follow the build and see the roles as they open, that is the right place to subscribe. No newsletter churn, no spam.

For press or partnership conversations that touch hiring indirectly, the contact page has the right address for each one.

What it is like

Patient. Serious. Warm. Honest.

We are building for a horizon measured in decades, not quarters. The pace is steady, the decisions are made on the merits, and the room is warm. We write things down so we can disagree carefully. We ship when the work holds up. We tell the truth about what went wrong. If that sounds like where you want to spend your thirties and forties, we might be the place.

One more thing

Elites Generation Foundation is not a culture-fit shop. Bring the person you actually are. We will do the same.

Tell us who you are, if the fit is right.

We read everything sent to careers@elitesgen.org. We reply slowly. We keep records for the day the relevant role opens.
